Herbs de Provence

the view from my back deck
E and S enjoying the snowy view
S and I ventured out into the snowy world this morning to a nearby friend's house, where the kids played and the mamas managed a little gift-making, and a lot of chatting.

some of the jars of "Herbs de Provence"
lovingly decorated by little elves ;-)

Inside the label reads:  Herbs de Provence
A blend of Thyme, Oregano, Rosemary, Winter Savory, Marjoram, Tarragon, Basil, Fennel and Bay Leaf.
This spice combination can be used in almost anything.  You can add it to any vegetable and/or meat based soup, stew, roasts, Mediterranean dish, or mix with olive oil to coat chicken, fish, tomatoes or potatoes.  Mix with butter or any soft cheese and serve with sourdough.

  1. You have a lovely view!!!! I miss water - living in CA, MO, NM, FL and IL I always had water views, but never in Madison.

    Great gift idea!

I love hearing what you have to say. Leave a comment?
