it's official

Here we are at the lawyer's office putting our signatures to the land contract that makes us officially home-owners for the first time in our lives.

We got here through an interesting combination of hard work and divine serendipity.  Come take a tour of the property while we do a little yard work clearing brush weeds.
The solar panels that heat our water and home through radiant floor heating.

The backyard with apple, pear, and cherry trees and roaming chickens.

The front of the house facing the road.  *photo by Sylvia

There is something instinctively satisfying about clearing away the old dead weeds in the sun and wind.

The house and coop as seen from the organic field that we are leasing to an Organic Valley farmer.
More of the field with the house just visible.

The growing brush pile that is being cleared from the front yard by the girls.

The moon can be seen from all over the world, but here it is as seen from our yard on this day.  A joyful day.  A beginning . . . or a continuation . . . full of possibility.
